Background

With many clients, comes much data. Communicating this complex information takes up a lot of time, effort, and preperation. Iquality had requested a way to present different forms of data to their clients, in a less cumbersome way. This resulted in their personal, but modular Iquality dashboard.

Challenge

With different clients, come different forms of data to be presented. Whether it's geographical for DLL, or comparing A/B tests for Damen Shipyards. Knowing what they present in the first place, was step one. Learning which forms of data visualizations fit their needs, was the next.

Key findings

  • Vast differences in data

By listening along and being involved in key meetings with clients, it became clear that there wasn't a one size fits all solution. With meetings going about comparing performance, some about breakdowns, others about location based data. This made it clear that there was some digging into data visualization to be done. To figure out which visualizations, fit their needs.

  • Modularity

It had also become clear, that Iquality cares for the personal connection they have with their clients. Figuring out how to give that personal touch, would be key to going that extra step further.

The modular dashboard

To communicate complex information with all clients, it's important to quickly be able to adjust accordingly to the situation. As a result, Iquality's dashboard has been built up on a design system, allowing for low effort changes that completely transform the look and feel of the dashboard, to give that personal touch. The dashboard itself is also modular, in the sense that making a selection of graphs and icons to show, is only a matter of choosing the correct component property, and filling the data accordingly.

The product as a result, is received as a "well made, and great addition" by their lead designer. Implementing it directly with some of their key clients.
